Starting this year, everyone should bring a cowbell to the Fargo Dome for football games. Wouldn't it be awesome to hear some 18,000 cowbells. They could even hand them out like they do for the marathon.

Noise makers are "not allowed" for MVFC conference games and playoff games.

How about 18,000 screaming fans for EVERY game. That will be enough.

They are not allowed, yet almost every other teams has them... I find that interesting.

Most likely it is because the other venues around the country don't have the FargoDome Na... Security force that is second to none.

Exactly. There was no need for extra noise for our 3 home playoff games. I hope the regular season crowd will be better about that this coming year.

Didn't NDSU fans blown in horns. Didn't the student section have cowbells,a few years ago. I've been a Bison fan for 30 years and have enjoyed both. Sorry to upset so many fans. Just a thought.

Horns and cowbells are old school. The new way is to stand and yell!

I think they are saying the fans in the 80's were a disgrace and the championships are in question. I still have my bison horn!!!

Izzy, they could be discussing players from Velva and you would still think the same.

I remember in the late 90's they sold them in the dome. I bought one and when I eventually went to school at NDSU, I blew that annoying horn in the student section. There was usually ab 30-40 or so people with these things. I'm glad they got rid of those. SDSU and their cowbells are the worst, especially inside at basketball games. I don't think SDSU uses them anymore, except to put them on their women so you can hear them coming.

It's also annoying to hear one person clanging their cowbell during every play who just happens to be sitting near a crowd microphone like when I was watching JMU vs. EKU in the playoffs.

"Men don't have anginas."

"Do you giggle when you say Regina?"

That thing was sweet. I believe it had multiple "dingers" on the inside with a crank to ring the thing. He sat in the front row. I couldn't imagine how annoying and loud that was for on opposing offense.

1) expensive
2) against the rules in conference play

Possible solutions would be to rip of UNI and jingle keys because
1) free
2) not against the rules

But I dont like to rip people off. I would assume UNI ripped the key idea off from another team.

Personally I think yelling and clapping at the same time is louder than keys and whenever you jingle something, its very "pansieesque."

1. The Goofers did that too
2. Like you said, I don't mind a girl jangling her keys but when a grown man pulls out his keys and starts jingling it's pretty

I would prefer we not do the keys but that's just me

The student section started ringing keys during the middle of the 4th if we are winning by a nice margin. I can't remember if it started late 2010 or 2011.
