I noticed Scott Hennen has a petition signing today for, Save The Sioux. Im curious as a Bison fan where people stand on this issue. As for me Id like to see the tradition for them stay in place, then again they are UND.:hide:

There are Bison fans who want UND to keep the nickname because they think the protesting about it is all political correctness and/or the NCAA running amok.
There are Bison fans who want UND to be forced to keep the nickname because if they do, is they could easily get kicked out of the Big Sky (and that could destroy their athletic department.)
There are those who are sick of the issue and the only way to make it go away is to have UND choose a new nickname.

Put me in the I'm tired of my tax dollars being wasted on something that benefits no one in the state at all. If UND feels it is best to retire the name, let them retire it. Why the fuck should I have to pay for any of this?

Sorry Jack, but no. Through great friends and NDSUs great football tradition I have come to respect and enjoy rooting for the Bison. I grew up in western Montana and was once a Griz fan( Football in Zootown gets in your blood too). After attending many games back to when we were D2 and making the road trip down to Frisco I know where my heart is. So with that said I am looking forward to my family's season tickets and getting to know my fellow fan. When you see a 76 lifted
Jeep CJ5 in tailgate town next year stop and say hi.

My thoughts about UND is I despise them, especially because the vast majority of their fans are douchebags and their pompous leadership of the recent past like Roger Tom-ass along with several others like him.
As for the Sioux name, I say the NCAA has no right to claim the high ground that indian names are hostile and abusive and then let a few colleges buy their way in to keep names like Seminoles and Chippewas (those tribes were bought, not approved only on the basis of the name). So I say PC motherf'ers are the weakest human beings on earth. Wah, Wah, bunch of damn crybabies. If there was justice in this country UND would be able to keep their name and NDSU would kick their ass in football.
