Thought BV would get a kick out of this. My 5 1/2 year old son singing a song I think all of us are familiar with:

And no, I didn't teach him the "rest" of the song....I'll save that for at least his sixth birthday.

A couple minor things to iron out. But impressive. I do believe I wasn't super confident with the first verse until at least age 6.

Simply outstanding! Great work! I hope someday I have the opportunity to teach my kids that. Many years from now of course.

After his bath last night, I walked in to see my nude 4yo son in his bedroom hugging his 2011 National Championship Banner.

Seeing a Bison team win a championship at a young age will solidify their loyalty and make them a die hard Bison fan for life. In 1990, tt 11 years old; I watched NDSU win the DII national championship. It was then that I finally knew which college team I would cheer for for the rest of my life. Bravo to all the little Bison fans out there. Once a Bison, always a Bison. It's not a saying, it's a way of life.

Awesome! Great job. My son at age 2 could complete the chant - here we go Bison, here we go - with "Sioux Suck" at the end. I graduated in 86, so at old Dakota Field, that was thing to do.

My son is now 25 and went to the championship with us.

You are absolutely correct about this and it is amazing how much they absorb and hold onto. My son is 7 and has been to every home game the last 6 years and has watched MANY road games on TV. It is unreal the different tidbits they remember. He remembers the Paschall jump and spin TD like it was yesterday or the Mertens fumble on the 1 against ISU. His favorite player now is DJ as he wears his #8 jersey EVERYWHERE and pretends he is him as he plays football all the time bouncing off of furniture and running threw his younger sisters sometimes :) The funniest part is he came up to me once and said dad I really don't like the Gophers and the Sioux. Gophers is understandable but it's hilarious because he's never seen us play UND in any sport let alone as many times as the rest of us have watched that game. Definitely once a Bison always a Bison.
