He is going to retire at the end of the season. I guess he couldn't handle all of the "racist blowhards" anymore.

So if no Women's Basketball game is scheduled in the future, that must mean it is Gene Taylor holding it up. No one else left with bad blood between them to hold it up. Hopefully we see it scheduled starting next year, both teams could use a boost in attendance.

Would it also be Gene Taylor's fault that there is no football game scheduled yet?

Not at all what I was alluding to. Lot fewer schedule spots to fill and not as big of advantage, particularly on NDSU's side, to schedule a football game. Absolutely inexcusable on both ends in other sports though.

That being said, the football game will get scheduled when the time comes, and the time is coming soon.

Yep, it would have to be Gene Taylor holding it up further. UND's new coach or athletic director wouldn't have any say in it.

They said on TV the other night that the women are expected to play next season.

You bought the whole set? Going to sell them one at a time or are they all stuck together?

It was said on the radio on tuesday as well. I think they said it was pretty close to a done deal.

Retirement couldn't have happened to a bigger douchebag. Congratulations to UND for finally retiring him.

Yeah now that Gene is gone a women's game is a great idea, heck the team's should play twice a year if possible.

Considering Gene Roebuck was one of the loudest voices ripping on NDSU's decision to go DI, and wanting us to fail, and never wanting his team or any others playing us; I am glad the last remnant of the misguided, wrong, and horrible leaders and coaches in charge from that era are gone. Kupchella, Glas, Thomas, and now Roebuck. UND may remember and honor you all well, but I say goodbye and good riddance.

Maybe since it's almost a done deal is why he's retiring? So he can stick to his word of never having to play NDSU again!

WHOA WHOA WHOA

Rich Glas is the classiest man ever to coach at that school. He does NOT deserve to be drug through the mud like the rest of those idiots.

Gene Roebuck was the biggest douchebag on campus. I actually hate UND a little less because of this retirement...hard to believe, but a true story.

So, are they going to have a three year cooling off period before they select a replacement? In the meantime will the rubes continue to grow pornstaches? Need answers. I'm confused.

I've been waiting for a long time for an opportunity to use this. And since his retirement announcement will liklely be the beginning of the end for "Roebuck Talk" on B-Ville, I thought I'd better use it now.

OK, so someones mission is, if you decide to accept, is to put the dress up Gene game back on here. That was good stuff, and it will keep CAS and TAB busy for weeks so other people can get a post in every now and then. :D

I agree. Both of these programs could use a shot in the arm as far as regional interest goes. An annual home-and-home would do wonders IMO.......................

Earlier this year NDSU released a preliminary womens schedule that listed a game with UND. UND then scheduled someone else on the same date, also they shit on UW Green Bay for their opening game
this year.
