When I hear UofM, I do think of Minnesota. I received a degree from them as did my daughter. And, I live in the state and do like to give a WTF look to the UofMichigan folks when they use UofM - Geography trumps which establishes precidence for 4M to use the UofM to reference the Griz. Memphis? Too far away. The team to pity with this is the University of Manitoba. No one thinks of them.

edit:To Kermit, ever since the man with two first names associated himself with Mary, they are well out of my mind. When we lived in Bismarck, they were commonly referred to as Mary.

Of course, when I am on this board, I refer to Minnesota as the UofMN to insure there is no confusion.
