I assume they will send out emails whether you received tickets or not. Dumb move if they don't, as the ticket office will get inundated with calls from those who don't receive any communiction. I would think the ticket office will at least let people know whether or not their credit card is gonna get tapped, especially this time of year.

I think they should started with 2 tickets for every request using priority points, then keep circling around giving 1 more ticket to anyone that requested more than 2. That would be fair in my opinion. You are going to make the majority of your entire season ticket holder fan base happier.

I called them on Tuesday afternoon to confirm whether or not my girlfriend and I got some student tickets (we ordered them late sunday night) and he said that we secured 2 of them and he said that as of 3pm Tuesday afternoon that there were a few (he emphasized that it really wasn't that many) student tickets left. I'm sure those have sold out, but not as quickly as the other ones.

They emailed students asking for student ID numbers to confirm that they are actually students. I think it is a very good way to manage the tickets, otherwise a bunch of people that didn't get the reserved sidelines would put in for the student tickets. Clearly it's working. SHSU didn't prioritize tickets the same way that NDSU did, of course it is going to go faster if it's just a simple matter of point, click, and hope you were one of the first to do so.

4000/25=160

Of course not everyone will take all 25, but I actually think most will due to how many people have hit them up for tickets.

Let's say each person averages 15 tickets

4000/15=266

In reality people may average slighly less than that though.

My guess is that the cutoff will be somewhere between 300-400.

Gene mentioned on the radio that the majority of requests were in the single digits. I would imagine the tickets would make it to the mid-500 to early 600's which is still well out of my range at 2,050.

Thank you for submitting your pre-order for the FCS Championship Football Game. Unfortunately, we are unable to fill your order due to the limited number of tickets allocated to NDSU and the overwhelming demand for tickets. Fulfillment of orders was determined by the priority point system we put in place a few years ago.

We anticipated that we would eventually play in championship games where the number of tickets would be limited. Therefore we created a priority point system that places our fans in a point system based on successive years as a season ticket holder, contributions to Team Makers Booster Club, contributions to the Athletic Department in general, and contributions to the university. We feel this is the most fair system in determining who will receive our limited number of tickets available. NDSU worked with the NCAA and the Frisco Organizing committee to acquire as many additional tickets to make available to our fans but could not obtain enough to fill all the pre-orders submitted.

Hang tight and be patient. If you do the price will be much closer to $40 than $100 and maybe even less if you buy them the day of the game. Events with prices this high typically have twice as many people trying to attend the game as there are tickets. I doubt the actual demand is that high. There are tickets that will ultimately become available.

I'm skeptical about this. The confirmation email says that "your pre-order has been accepted and your order will be filled".

If the ticket office was going to cut down your order, I'd expect the confirmation email to say something different.

Just like many they were guys who haven't missed a game for long time and are what I've always considered diehards. I think there are some hurt feelings out there and I'm guessing some damage control may end up being done after this whole debacle. North Dakota State Athletics would like to thank our loyal fans for their overwhelming requests for NCAA playoff tickets. Your enthusiasm and strong showing during our play-off run is one of the reasons we are in the Championship game in Frisco, Texas. We are proud of the interest and passion of our fans. Unfortunately, our allotment of tickets (4,600 from the NCAA) to the Championship game was well below the demand we received for ticket requests. We are disappointed we were unable to fulfill the request for all of our fans wishing to attend the game.

We anticipated a few years ago that we would eventually play in championship games where the number of tickets would be limited. Therefore, we created a priority point system that places our fans in a point system based successive years as a season ticket holder, contributions to Team Makers Booster Club, contributions to the Athletic Department in general, and contributions to the university. We believe this to be the fairest system in determining who will receive our limited number of tickets available. NDSU worked with the NCAA and the Frisco Organizing committee to acquire as many additional tickets to make available to our fans. For those of you that were not able to secure tickets through our office we encourage you to attempt to find tickets through available secondary markets such as stubhub.com, craigslist.com, ebay.com and other web sites.

Finally, for those of you that made plans to go to Texas we encourage you to still make the trip and participate in all of the activities surrounding the game. There will be Friday pre-game gatherings, tailgate gatherings on Saturday, watch sites in Frisco and Bison Fan establishments that will welcome you to help cheer on the Bison. We will be announcing all of this information once it is finalized. Please continue to support the Bison as we march to Frisco and take on Sam Houston State in the NCAA Division I Football Championship game on January 7th.

Just folks on this board know that "The strength of the bison is the herd, and the strength of the herd is the bison": I received my teammaker tickets today based on my priority points. In addition my son received players tickets....we are turning back the player tickets as our teammaker allotment fulfilled our needs. Those tickets will either go on sale or to whoever is next in line. I am sure there will be others doing the same. We are very fortunate to have a lot of "die-hards"; unforetunately there may not be enough tickets to go around. Thank you, each and everyone of you--past and present, for making Bison athletics what it is today.

This system REALLY screws over the younger Bison fans (like myself) that aren't able to generate the priority points needed for the season tickets.

We can't get the student tickets because we aren't students anymore (I graduated last May) and we can't get the regular tickets because of this system.

I have been a diehard fan for YEARS now but never found it economically feasible to become a team maker while in school. I planned on joining next year anyways, but I am SEVERELY disappointed that somehow my support for the Bison gets lost in the point system cracks.

So I ordered 2 tixs for my friends who are students along with my other tix. I gave their student ID's and they got accepted. Will I be able to pick up their tix or will they have to pick them up even tho I paid for them. Anybody know?

I will start this by saying like others I have been a TM for over 10 years, I cant help but feel WRONGED today. Why the tickets were not limited to the normal number a TM has during the season is beyond me. I'm very upset considering im on the outside looking in. Apparantly I was on the edge of getting tickets. Enjoy frisco, if the guilt sets in high enough I will be willing to pay regular price for two. WHICH happens to be my NORMAL TM seat allotment........

Hey I feel for you guys but don't blame the people that got the tickets. They played by the rules. If you are going to be mad and pissed at anyone blame the people that set the rules and voice your displeasure to them.

Every year I have my company purchase 8 season tickets. We weren't even close to getting tickets to this game as we were in the 1600's. Had 8 people (employees) ready and willing to find money to make it down there one way or the other and...... nothing. And they weren't going to have to pay for the tickets as it was on the house. I'm still going as I purchased charter packages for me and my son (a student at NDSU) but feel sick that these individuals that really wanted to attend can't because of greed. Seriously considering spending the company money elsewhere next year because of how this was handled.

So the only reason you were a teammaker is so you could have a chance at tickets to the championship game?????? How has that worked out the last 20 years? Teammakers is about much more than having a chance to get tickets to the championship game. Think Big picture but remember this was the first time NDSU had done this in a awfully long time. I am sure it will be handled differently next year but once it was set in motion you could not stop the rock from rolling.

So I assumed people who belong to TM did so because of the benefit it gives to the athletes. Guess I was wrong and some only belong to benefits themselves.
Where would we be if everyone felt this way about charitable giving?

I didn't get a ticket. I didn't think I would before the alottment was known and focused on finding one elsewhere...

I'm celebrating 10 years as a TeamMaker.

I haven't given the minimum every year, yet I'm not a 1/2 or full donor. I only have one seat and it'll stay that way for a long time because adding another one where my seat is at would require a multiplier greater than 2. I don't agree with a few things on the point system. Mainly I think 100 points for a letter winner is a little high. I would like to see graduates get a few points...and I REALLY disagree with how insignifcant donations to the non-athletic funds are.

I think you're going to find that most people who got tickets were of the variety that have:

A) Given full or half and get 4 tickets plus whatever they are buying on top of those
B) Have multiple tickets in the seating chart that are more than $75/$125 a seat for more than 5 years
C) Have a large number of tickets in the seating chart at the $75/125 level for more than 5 years

With what we know about where the cut-off was, that theory holds up pretty good as it averages out less than 4 tickets per person. I'm totally ok with that. That means the point system worked.

An athlete who has competed enough during game time to meet the requirements to earn a Letter award. Each sport has its own parameters. In football it used to be the number of quarters played in. I dont know what that number is.
