The parent company is Northwoods Pizza. They make the frozen pizza for bars, bowling alleys etc. They also do branding for some stores.They also have a franchise in international Falls. They are an interesting story. They started out as a pizza resaurant. It burned down> Thats when they started doing frozen pizza.

It's not too bad...I've only had a few times since moving here, but that's because I prefer Dave's. We rarely go out for meals anymore since it seems we are always in Fargo, but when we do, Dave's is by far the family favorite.

Ive only done Giovanis once. And that was to see if it tasted like their frozen pizza. Yes it does. But their frozen isnt too bad. I used to stop in Bemidji on the way home from deer hunting and fill a cooler with their frozen to take home with me. When you buy them 20 at a crack they give you a very good price break. To do that you have to go to the home office-warehouse-production facility.

Rumor I heard is the owner of Giovanni's in FM lost the restaurant in a divorce around 2000. He later opened Coach's in Moorhead, which got shut down after a couple of street clearing fights. The renamed Gio's gave some of my friends food poisoning and we never went back.

Can confirm some of this. During the 90's, the GSMB used to meet at Giovanni's after home FB games. After the divorce, the old owner sent a nice printed invitation to the band asking them to switch to Coaches. The band did so for at least a couple years. I heard they eventually moved to one of the Happy Joe's(S University?). I've lost track of where they go now, if they've even kept up the tradition.

I ordered pizza and a 2 liter of cola from Dominos a few years ago and the driver forgot the liter of cola. Kid runs out to his car and gives me 2 of these "Oops" coupons for some free sides. Not an order of Dominos has gone by without free Cheesy Bread and Bread Stix for about 20 straight orders. My strategy is, get out into the hallway when the driver approaches, ask them how their night is going, and then ask what the total is before they even say it. I already know what the total is, I just want them to see me do the math in my head and say I left a little extra just for them. They never ask for a coupon. Booyah. Ah, the simple things in life.
