I don't know if they have one, but who gets your vote?

I say, Houston resident . . . Jeff Bentrim. Get him to Frisco, and get him on the field. If not Bentrim, then Chris Simdorn. The Haron duo get my vote. Who do you say.

Because it'll be #357... so if you see him in Frisco (and until the next game) we should all refer to him as "Magnum" (as in .357 magnum)

Who else can say that saw every game personally since the last NC appearance?

Lets see which former Bison player will be there regardless of where he lives? Humm might we say Phil Hansen!! Defense wins championships!!!

Steve Nelson . Since he's older he doesnt get the recognition modern day players get. He's in the New England Patriots Hall Of Fame!

Other ideas:

Joe Chapman (almost single handidly put the Bison on this path)
Mike Favor (would be an AWESOME choice; the man drips goodness and it even came through on TV)

Hey, he supposedly played Baseball and attempted a few FB spring practices, just ask him, but just don't ask for proof other than his word. We all know that is good!!

I thought it was funny and took it in jest. I am not sure Kirk would realy think that.

I nominate Gus Bradley...the greatest defensive player of the 80s.

What real problems has he ever caused but offending some people ? Has he ever really hurt anyone or anything? That said I found it very humerous to name him as honorary captain ........ Lmao is that how they say it

Has anyone talked to him? Is he coming? He must be pretty pumped up. Is Seattle a playoff team? (I quite watching the NFL when my fantasy team and the Vikes tanked.....)

Think they are 7-7, he probably won't get a ticket though. That may be the factor in deciding honorary captain... :)

But is he coming? AND, does anyone REALLY think that Gus Bradly would not get a ticket if he wanted to? I am pretty sure Coach Bohl would take care of him.

If, and that is a big if, we were to have an honary captain(s), I think it should be one player from all the former NC teams. If not that, then I would suggest, in no order, Bentrim, Favor, Simdorn, Hanson, Nelson, Tyrone Braxton or perhaps the or one of the former coaches of our NC teams.

However, Steve Nelson remains in my top two.

How about a player from one of the transition year teams? Those guys came to NDSU knowing that they had no chance of a playoff appearance.

That's a cool thing they did to help NDSU recruit the players of today!

Joe Mays and his biceps would be a good combo

I'd like to see the Forum do a "where are they now" segment on the great 2006 and 2007 teams leading up to the game. It'd be good to give those guys props on what they did to help us get to where we are now.

I'd agree with that. Players from past NC teams, and players from the transition period would be good.

I'm guessing Steve is going to be flying private and rockin his press pass coutesy of The Forum. Maybe Coach Bohl can get field passes for all of our past greats and they can watch from the sidelines, just like The U in the early 90's.

I'm sure the NCAA wouldn't allow it, but would be pretty sweet if they did!!
