Well, if you think about it, you can be a part-owner of the Vikings.

Buy a share of the Packers. Since the Packers own the Vikings, using the transitive property of ownership you're good to go.

Be careful if you bet on the Packers...You can be shared by the NFL! ;)

Actually, as bad as the Vikings have been this year, this has a high probability of being counterproductive. Think lack of run or pass defense.

But not without risk!

The stock does not pay dividends or appreciate in value, and shareholders technically could be fined by the league for violating terms of NFL ownership. Shareholders could be fined up to $500,000 by league commissioner Roger Goodell for conduct detrimental to the welfare of the league -- including "publicly criticizing any NFL member club or its management" -- and up to $5,000 if they bet on the outcome of NFL games, according to the terms of the stock.

No more Vikes comments out of you! ;)

This. I really don't understand the haters on this. Sure it's $250, but we get to support our team. We will get to see that money because one, it's going to upgrade the stadium facilities and two, it's a pretty cool fricking piece of paper that can be proudly displayed almost anywhere. If the Vikings could do the same thing, all the Vikings homers would be all over it. It's a 100% voluntary tax that will help the team improve it's facilities. Really I should consider myself the owner of 2 nfl football teams. Stock in the Packers and because I'm a MN resident I know I'm going to get screwed into helping them pay for their new stadium.
