Well, looking just at the stats, we got beat in turnovers (20 for us, 11 for them), offensive rebounds (6 for us, 20 for them) and steals (6 for us, 1 for them).

Whew, looking at that I'm just glad we won. 1-1 in conference.

IUPUI gave SDSU fits the other night as well, SDSU had a big lead and IUPUI forced OT, but SDSU pulled it out. Tonight, WIU is playing slug ball again, and are tied with SDSU late. Can't wait for the NDSU/SDSU games.

Went to this game tonight at the Jungle. I saw that there were about 15 NDSU supporters there behind the Bison bench. Anyway, the score looks close because after the Felt flagrant foul (he had the ball above his heads and as he was moving it around he clipped someone with his elbows) the Bison got a little careless on an inbounds play. It was NOT that close at all. Bison were firmly in control of this game until that flagrant.

Interesting to me that Alex Young was put on the bench for most of the second half of the second half (after the ten minute mark or so). He didn't come back in until 1:44 left. Really strange. There are times when Young is unguardable. Hale and Braun did a good job, but when he wants to take over he can make any defender look silly. Just kind of looked listless tonight though.

But the Bison looked great. Braun looked like he did in that game against San Francisco. He was driving the lane with ease and making his free throws. Also TrayVonn had a bit of a breakthrough offensively. He had about five dunks, and he had one dunk attempt that would have been his best in the game but he was fouled and the ball did not go in. He also gave IUPUI trouble with his long arms and caused a lot of blocks.

I was there too. I was sitting toward the front with my wife and 3 uninterested boys. Decent crowd for IUPUI on their side. The very large guy across from us who showed his belly was a little disturbing though. Overall impressive effort by the Bison. The end was a little freakish. The guy who hit the FTs and the threes after the flagrant is the son of a woman who is an executive at a company where I'm interviewing so I'm glad she got to leave the game with a reason to smile.

I'm not happy with the WIU loss, but I think Molinari's team will be significantly better this season. They are really hard to play against if they can control the pace and pack the paint on defense.

Big win at IUPUI! Braun and Wright had big games and played like the stars that they can be.

Well glad to see we got the split, I was still partying after the fb win so I didn't see or listen to the game but very proud of the guys to bounce back after a tough loss and get a big W on the road. IUPUI is a team that was picked to finish a spot above us in the conference so it's a great win. Would have liked to have the one on Thursday, but 7-1 I will take. If the Taylor Braun that showed up tonight show's up every game this season we will be a dangerous team in this league. When he drives the lane like it sounds like he did is when it frees Tray up for the dump pass for a throw down or gives him a chance to crash the glass and so their games compliment each other nicely. Excited to see what this team can do against ASU!
