Indiana State one spot lower than teh UND??!!!! I can only imagine what DaveK and star2 and Darrell1976 are thinking and saying: "Hey, ISU blue stuck with the #1 rated team in the country. Hmmm, where does that put us??!!" We would easily be in the PO's but for our transitional status, and likely make a hell of a run". ETC!!!!

Pathetic poll really.

I laughed hard when I saw Indiana State ranked lower than the people up North.

Poll should just be the Top 10 or Top 15.

Lehigh at #6????

Looks like they lost to NH in OT and beat Liberty both of whom the coaches also overrate significantly as well. The computers obviously don't know everything but they're quite good at eliminating these kinds of biases because the objectively evaluate the quality of your opponents instead of starting with any preconceved notions about who's good and who isn't.

I know it looks dubious but Lehigh is legit. Crazy good offense, lost the one game that would've given them some serious credibility in UNH but they've been delivering. They started out mid-ranked and haven't lost while others accumulate losses ahead of them. They'll be dangerous in the playoffs.

UND moves up??! Proves that these voters don't watch games or research their votes past the top 10 or so. Barely beating an NAIA team and having 3 NAIA wins and a non-scholly win on you resume' and they are ranked?! they have 3 DI wins in 9 weeks. This is getting more strange every week.

I don't even know why they allow the coaches poll to be published for people to look at. Every single week it is such a joke and there are numerous problems with it. For example, Wofford beat App State, and their record is 7-2 not 6-3. A team that has a better record AND a head to head win against an opponent should not be ranked below said opponent. Also, how in the hell is Furman only ranked 21?! Granted they did get crushed by a then ranked #1 Georgia Southern, but since then they have beaten Wofford, Chattanooga, and App State. How UND continues to move up the polls is astounding. Ranked 22 this week with D-1 wins over world beaters Drake, SUU, and Northern Colorado. Give me a break!

I just wouldn't pay much attention to anything past about 15th or so. If they're down there they're not making the post season w/out an autobid. From about 20 to about 35 everyone is more or less the same anyway.

Pathetic poll really.

Typically when you need a last second field goal to beat an NAIA team transitioning to D2, you lose all credibility. They should not be ranked in the top 100.

UND has 3 D1 wins...

Drake (Non scholarship) 16-0
WINLESS Northern Colorado by 2 PTS
Southern Utah 6 pts. (Currently in last pace Great west)

There have to be pictures involved.

I would add, NDSU does not have all the first place votes. It is entirely possible UND was voted 2nd in one poll (as an accident) and 25th in another to make the 25 points without a (1).

NDSU was ranked 1st in 26 polls (26x25=650 points), and therefore must have been ranked 2nd in the other two (2x24=48) for a total of 698 points.

Come on, guys and gals. I'm not usually one to say "stop talking about UND." But can we please have one poll thread where there aren't entire pages dedicated why UND should/shouldn't be in the polls? NDSU is #1 in FCS and that all that really matters right now.

I had actually never heard of it. It is a pretty good poll. Mine is actually somewhat similar to that one, although I have Indiana State quite a bit higher (around 18 I think) and I have Brown, Harvard and Cal Poly in mine rather than Jackson State, Alabama A&M and Alabama State. But all those teams are in the 20s so not too big a deal. It's hard to put together after about #15 because there seems to be a lot of parity throughout most of the conferences......

I think Indiana State dropped way too far. They lost to the #1 team in the nation and dropped like 7-9 spots? That's quite a bit of punishment. They are a good team.

I also don't know much about Lehigh. I mean, are they really legitimate? Does the Patriot League actually produce good teams? Are they all full scholarship teams? The only thing I know about Lehigh is that they embarrassed UNI and consequently the MVFC last year when they won that game.
