The initial indications were that they were being cautious but I'd like a place for updates on his condition.

According to the radio guys, there were about 14 paramedics around him after they got him off the field.

Thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery for this young man.

Pretty scary deal to watch. His legs were moving so the worst hasn't happened, but with how cautious they were being it's still pretty sketchy.

Just heard on the radio he should be cleared to join the team on the return flight to Fargo.

The Valley announcers said no serious injury, just a precaution.

On the Bison postgame, apparently there is some hope that Carlton Littlejohn will be cleared to come home on the team plane.

Was very scary indeed. Sure hoping it was just precautionary to take him off the way they did. Sending healing thoughts his way.

They're trying to check Carlton out of the hospital as we speak.

I was relieved when the announcers on ESPN3 said he was ok.

out of curiosity, does NDSU have to pay for the hospital bill or is that billed to the players private insurance?

The player's insurance gets billed first. Whatever that insurance doesn't cover will be covered by the schools insurance.

That is a good sign, hopefully he gets more good news in the next day or two.

That was very scary to see, can't help but really hope that he is doing well. Football is a dangerous game, especially when played by athletes who are at that level of speed.

I wonder how he is doing today? The tingling in his hand/fingers subsided. It's a scary situation. If his family was watching TV I bet their blood pressure jumped a couple hundred points.

Hope everything is ok. Kind of a weird play. Didn't look like much in the replay but you never know.

One of the replays looked minor, but the other camera angle was one of the scarier things I've seen. His neck looked like it was moving around in a bunch of angles that necks aren't meant to go. I had a knot in my gut until they finally gave word that he was fine.

It was a good sign when he was laying there on his back with his legs up moving back and forth. I figured it was a precaution to bring the backboard out after that point.

Word on the street is he was drinking margaritas and banging senoritas last night.

Get well Carlton.
