Hey guys-

Had a couple of questions for you all. I wanted to know what games you considered to be NDSU's best victory? Was it this year beating Minnesota or beating Kansas? As a Missouri fan I loved that 6 to 3 victory over KU last year. Not to mention it was on the road. I'm very impressed with this team. I would also like to know what players are our stand-outs? I don't really get NDSU football games televised over here in the Show-Me-State.--And lastly, what are all of your feeling to making the jump from FCS to FBS? I forgot who mentioned it (its in another thread) but, they showed the schedule of CMU from the MAC. Not an impressive schedule against FBS opponents. I think given the chance NDSU would succeed. They've transitioned amazingly well from D-II to FCS. That may not translate into immediate success but, is promising.

Thanks!

1st off good post and welcome to Bisonville!

I feel our best victory was the UNI game last weekend. 2007 gopher game was good too. Dont get me wrong KU game was huge too but.. UNI, and 07 gophers was big

We are staying in the FCS end of story. We have to win a national championship in FCS before we can even start that discussion. (and increase $ and attendance)

Any YouTube links for the '07 Gophers game?--Or if you can summarize it? Thank you!

Bison double the Gophers in yards, totally control the game, Running back sets school record for yards in a game...like 270 or something, and we find a way to only win by 6.

the CMU victory was probably our best win. We blew them out and they were the MAC champion that year. 44-14 on the road.

The wins against BCS programs feels better though. The Games against minnesota will always take the cake though, you cant beat having between 10 000 and 30 000 fans at an awaygame while you beat down on a team up a division.

Best team NDSU beat was CMU all the way. Biggest win for the program was Gophers in 07. Biggest win for players on this team is UNI by leaps and bounds. I wouldnt put Kansas in top 5!

Without playoffs there is nothing positive about playing in FBS.

Here's the best highlights. Not sure how to imbed it. Basically we kept it simple and ran the ball.

CMU blow out no question. The BCS wins were not very good on paper but did feel good.

The KU win was as big as any FBS win. It was after a horrible 3-8 season and that win turned the season around. Plus, without that win, we would still be searching for our first FCS playoffs.

I was saying the same thing reading this thread. At the time the KU game wasn't huge but looking at it at the end of the season it was very large in the grand scheme of things. It got us into the playoffs and allowed the run of last year to happen and made the team this year very hungry. They got a taste last year of the playoffs and it tasted good and I would say has given them a drive this year and in the off season to want more. It would not have happened had we not beat KU. 5-3 against FBS with no blow outs in the losses has many teams envious. THIS IS BISON FOOTBALL

Definitely the 2016 win over Iowa. Or maybe even the 20xx win over Mizzzzzzzou. :D

I would say the 07 win over the Goophers wans the biggest one in terms of national exposure. The win over Kanas last year did give us hope that the 2010 season would be better than the 2009 disaster.

KU game opened up some other areas for recruiting as well. All of these games were great wins. Heck, at the time the Ball State win proved we could do it. Now, that win looks real minor.
