FCS Bracketology

This is my first ever crack at projecting the playoff field. Let me know what you think. Like I said my first time ever doing this.

Wofford @ Montana

Lehigh @ Maine #5
Towson @ Liberty winner @ App St #4

Central Arkansas @ Old Diminion winner @ Montana St #3
James Madison @ Georgia Southern

We'll have a good breakdown of at-large teams on the saturdayblitz.com FCS Roundtable later today. Basically Old Dominion (in response to ming01's post) is a lock at 7 wins and has winnable games vs. Richmond and @ William and Mary to secure it at 8 wins.

I was debating between Cal Poly, Ind St, or Ill St. More than likely Ind St and Ill st finish at 7-4 and Poly at 8-3. Plus I wouldnt mind seeing Poly back at the dome...

They will both host if neither are seeded.

Do the seeds not have respective positions in the bracket? Everyone seems to throw them around randomly. Your bracket has 1 4 5 on one side and 2 and 3 on the other. Ive seen 1 3 5 on one side and 2 4 on the other etc.


atleast 3 teams will come out of the valley, probably more. CAA may not get 5 in either. Not a bad bracket though.

I thought the ideal purpose of a bracket is to get #4 vs #1 and #3 vs #2 in the semis?

I do not know where they are supposed to go, I just figured their would be reason too it. Ive seen people posting the seeds all over the place.

I am really looking at dropping SHSU to a 4 or 5 seed after looking at their body of work compared to UNI, Maine, Montana St....But I am new at this

4 and 5 should be together in the same quarter of the draw and should be paired w/ 1 in the semis.

2 and 3 should be in the other half of the bracket.

Yes the top five play a true bracket. Not sure how/where you saw anything different.
