Tailgating for UNI Game

Should be a huge tailgate crowd on Saturday morning. The West Lot will become the Badlands! Lots of rowdy Bison fans drinking their favorite beverage and getting fired up for the big game. Weather sounds pretty good for this time of the year. Here is the latest National Weather Service forecast:

Saturday: A 20 percent chance of showers after 1pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 53. South wind between 8 and 14 mph.

Saturday Night: A 30 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 36. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Allow yourself some time...don't drive too fast. 50mph is fast enough...guys your age don't have the fastest reflexes anymore. It might be dark by the time the game ends...do you still drive in the dark? Maybe you should just stay home and play it safe. :D

I am pumped! We should be there bright and early like always. We might try out this "Tailgate Extravaganza" thing this year. I didn't really plan for it, so I don't have a meal, but I should have brisket, pork, and a little sirloin roast.

We will be in the rainforest. On tap will be bloody marys and apple pie shots and of course beer and hard liquor. For food we will have french dip, chicken wild rice soup, beer dip, bacon wrapped shrimp, and chips with salsa.

I've never actually brought my car to the West lots before but this week we plan on bringing out a car and truck to tailgate. Being a 'first-timer' from a vehicle standpoint, is there any advice you can give? We should be fine parking in the grass if we show up at 930? Each vehicle is required to buy 2 spots, right? If so, does that give us enough room for bags and room for chairs etcetc?

I just want to be a prepared fan. Drinking/grilling/bullshitting is the easy part.

Yep, if you have two vehicles, it makes it easier to create space. You can sort of block it off.
