So I know it's early, but those who want to tailgate at SDSU may need to reserve a spot.

Here is the link I found.

I have no memory of what we did last time but I know we had to reserve a parking spot.

Has anyone brought a bus there before? I see that it says you can only buy one spot PER vehicle that fits in a 9x18' spot. Should we leave half the bus at home?

Also, how early should we get there? We are planning on leaving at 6-7am so should be there around 930-10...is that early enough?

There was a postcard notice sent out by the Alumni Association yesterday.......it had two rates, one for standard vehicles and another for larger size vehicles. Can't remember rates.......$5 & $10?

I was there two years ago; this is the lot south of the stadium. Seemed kinda tame to me last time -- most of the action was in the mud hole north of the stadium where the SDSU "younger" crowd tailgates.

16 of us coming down on our bus. Did they change there tailgating policies since 2007(last time I was there)? If I remember right there were a few Bison buses and there was a lot of open space to the south. Any info would be great since I dont want to bring it down and have nowhere to park it

Burgundy's group, Lake's group, others? Was a great time, and of course we got a kick out of those high tech urinals designed by SDSU's engineering department. I believe Burgundy's group had their trailer along. Not sure what they charged north of the stadium for their goofy cordoned off spots in the muddy uneven lot.

Looks like the lot to the north is an advanced purchase reserved lot for season ticket holders according to the chart here (http://www.gojacks.com/downloads2/387487.pdf?ATCLID=897605&SPSID=606706&SPID=81397&DB_LANG=C&DB_OEM_ID=15000) - Yellow lot. Don't know if that is enforced or not.

Here is the map of the lots around Coughlin (http://www.gojacks.com/downloads2/387350.pdf?ATCLID=897605&SPSID=606706&SPID=81397&DB_LANG=C&DB_OEM_ID=15000)

I wonder if that's the normal price or if they are jacking it up because it's Bison week and they know they'll get a shit-ton of NDSU fans to come down?

From the link in post #1:

The YELLOW LOT, directly north of Coughlin-Alumni Stadium, is designated as reserved tailgating only. The only vehicles allowed into the Reserved Lot will be those that have purchased a reserved spot prior to the game on a season basis or single game (based on availability.)

Sounds to me like you can buy a spot just for the game (based on availability), but you have to reserve it ahead of time; no game-day spots are sold.

We walked around in that lot before the game last time so I got to see the awesome pissers, the whole lot was pretty much a muddy mess.

So the important question is where are those of us with rigs, trailers, etc going to tailgate? Grey lot?

Mr. Burgundy
10-14-2011, 04:13 PM
The last time we went, we had reserved our spots, and we were NORTH of the campus in a muddy field and we had a total blast. All Bison fans. All the rigs were in that lot. I want to say the spots are $150 each. That would cover a few parking spots. Hopefully everyone gets in these spots again.
