Defensive Player of the Week
LB Chad Willson, North Dakota State

Willson had 10 tackles, including nine solos, and an interception in in North Dakota State 9-3 win at No. 17 Southern Illinois. His first career interception with 2:08 left in the fourth quarter sealed the road win for the Bison. It was the Willson’s third career double-figure tackle game. The nine solos were a career-high. Yes he actually tackles with his arms and not diving into the runner

By far the most consistent and physical IMO. Seems like he might a leader on defense, too. What a great JUCO pickup by Bohl and crew.

I got the chance to talk to his dad at the Alumni party in Minneapolis right before the Gopher game, he said he hasn't missed a Bison home game since Chad signed. I had to laugh, I was like "Boy! What a good deal that he signed with NDSU!" to which his dad replied "Yeah! Still can't figure out why he did but he loves it up here!"

Good for Mr. Wilson! Thought Marcus might get another one.
