There may be a # out there but if I am capping the game I say Gophers -8. I take the Herd!! Am I being hopeful???

Yes, and realistic. They didn't exactly impress against MoO today.

Remember that Vegas usually does not put a line on these games. On-line only. Anyone looked? After the feds cracked down on the poker sites, I am sure these sites are also more limited now....

It was a -20.5 point spread.

I can't find it now. I believe that line was from 5dimes.

I don't bet, but if I did, I would think there is a 99% chance NDSU loses by 20 or less points and/or wins.

MN -20.5!!!!???

I do bet, a lot, and I'd love to see that. This is why legit books don't do FCS-FBS games, cause nobody knows about the FCS teams.

Honestly, it should probably be somewhere around MN -6 despite some of the ramblings on this site about how SU ''may'' be upset. If I find us +20 at a book of even borderline repute I'll be putting my largest bet of the year on us to cover and a large but smaller bet on us on the moneyline. Please let me know where that line is if it appears again.

As of September 17, NDSU is rated 65.10 (89th out of 246 teams) by Jeff Sagarin and UMN is rated 61.28 (110th). The home team gets 3 pts in his system to predict who should be favored, thus, NDSU is basically a one point favorite in the game, for what that is worth.

Those rankings are notorious for being unreliable for the first month and change of the season.

Please link. Are you sure you didn't see the NMsu line? I don't see that game on 5 dimes and all homerism aside I think it sounds way wrong.

The way things have been going for the Jacks . . . someone, hurry, call and correct this. No way that the Jacks want to show up in Wisconsin. Heck, no one does.

Good luck to the Coyotes, maybe they have some magic left.

Sounds like a possible wager advantage. The opening line by bookmakers with sdsu v. wisky might be +70. When they change it to the correct opponent it will drop to +42. The difference being the 4 pick sixes that is a given if TOB is the starting qb in the game.

70-21 is my call. -49.

I'm shocked that a book is taking money on any Sconnie NC games anymore. They do not stop scoring and they do not care how many points they are up. It's almost Spurrier-like.

South Dakota is playing Wisky this weekend, not SDSU, is that your point?

It's too early for sagarin. You have to wait until he switches from bayesian to unbias. Until then the preseason rankings are given some weight in the calc. After you've still got to adjust for injuries and what not but their pretty good if you use the predictor and not the bcs or the ranking numbers.

For what it's worth the predictor makes Minnesota a 1 point favorite. Not sure what a bye week is worth in college. It's about the same as home field in the NFL. Also the predictor has ndsu number one in the fcs.

That's a big Vig -120, makes me wish I was working for the house. Compared to -110 I'd reduce my wager 25%.

Must be a bunch of degenerates in Fargo bidding that line down for it to move 3 points.
