the jerseys for $59 are actually yellow not gold, the jerseys that the players will wear are gold and they cost $275. They look cool but the green numbers looked more like the green notre dame uses.

Side note:
I was not a big fan of all the "Nike Combat" unis last year. I have to admit a couple were cool, but I just didn't like that it was basically a marketing tool for nike. Some of the Unis were like the future unis MLB did back in 1999 if anyone remembers that.

Ahhh don't get too worked up. It's just marketing. Almost every team has a 3rd jersey and it's not like the current Bison jersey hasn't changed. Hek we've changed logos 3 times and our regular jersies are far from the originals and who could ever forget the highlighter yellow numbers we wore on the road for a year. I actually think these look kind of cool. Should it be permanant? No.

Nobody probably cares how they compare to NDSU's "official" color, they just want them to look good. I found the announcement of the Jerseys to be the minor announcement yesterday. The major one for me was Bohl telling people to stand up and cheer and if anyone says anything to you to tell them to talk to him on Monday. Now put that on the screen before the game and lets rock that dome. I would rather they had waited for the St. Francis game, and used this game to set the tone for the season in a workmenlike manner. Put on the traditional, green home jerseys, go kick some ass, and wear the new ones the second home game after putting a solid win in the books against what appears may be a solid oppenent.

Marketing probably knew this was a tougher game to sell so they probably timed it strategically. People are talking about it, which was the goal. I'm sure the players know for a long time... Your just an old school guy and that's cool.

I said the same thing at Scheel's today and they said that they talked about doing that but Bohl didn't want to as it would take time to switch out and such.....And that they decided to do it for the first game to the fact that it was hard to keep it a secret.......just what I was told.
