While I think they have made a great hire in Kill, he has a major uphill battle ahead of him. With a new coaching staff, new QB, new system, inexperience in numerous positions, they will be lucky to win 3 games this season. As the old saying goes, "Rome wasn't built in a day."

Hope springs eternal this time of year on all campuses. Also, your post isn't really a fair snapshot of that site or the opinions of Gopher fans in general. They would all be thrilled to see 7 wins this year and most expect to improve on the 3 wins from last year to somewhere between 4-6. Is 7 so outrageous then that it can't be discussed in what is almost surely a "what is our ceiling?" thread? Almost every fan base expects improvement in August. The Fn Bison should. I'm sure Mo State fans (or their worst trolls) could swing by this site and deride our "delusion" and short memories. And they'd be part right but mostly wrong too.

This is pretty funny really, Pat took a lot of heat for saying he wasn't too fond of the Gophers moral victory over USC last Saturday. So, he sums it up by saying he is too old and basically telling everyone where he has come from and what he has seen as a Gopher fan.

The fourth paragraph is nice, as far as I am concerned, because he references NDSU.

I don't think he (like most in the main street media) realizes or even cares how little difference there is between any given season's top-tier FCS teams and that season's worst FBS or even BCS teams. The guy is a good writer, but most of his storylines are nothing more than trying to be a counter-weight to homerism. I wish more good writers could profit from simply good reporting and commenting instead of having to represent the homers or the anti-homers to get noticed. Lots of wasted talent in this media market alone on sports personalities trying to play a role.

This is my section .... but a few (or more) rows down. Good view of field, and scoreboard. And protected by suites and pressbox, should there be any wind. Note, you can go up from your row to the 2nd concourse, but no bathrooms and limited food options. Best on main concourse.
