IMHO, this is called "recognition of excellent leadership".

It's amazing what can be attained when you have the right person in the right position at the right time, without self-created millstones distracting from the core mission...

Good for him. He has an impressive resume. Looks like they are getting some people from more successful programs like Appalachian & SFA. Obviously they want guys who think big.
