I've been trying to think of his name for a while. Pete Lana...one of the best receivers and athletes that we've had at North Dakota State. He played from 1970 to 1972 during the Erhardt era. I remember watching him play. He was a gazelle...very athletic. Pete was inducted into the Bison Hall of Fame in 1994.

And I was totally unaware of this: He helped to develop the snorting Bison logo as an artist.

Anyone have any other information? Anyone remember watching him play?

I saw him play twice. Your eyes were definitely drawn to him, he moved effortlessly.

Pete was a very good athlete and I think he would have fit right in to today's Bison. He was an outstanding athlete at Shanley (circa
1970) and grew up in north Fargo. He was a really nice guy and a very good student. Don't know where he ended up.

I ran in to him this last year at homecoming when they honored the team he was on. Cant remember the year. Still a super nice guy. Is involved with some big corp.
