Several Bison football recruits have won awards for their performances on Minnesota high school basketball courts this winter.
Joey Sonnenfeld, 6'4" from Osseo, was named to the AAAA all-tournament team (http://www.pressnews.com/articles/2011/04/10/regional_sports/o_oalltournament.txt) at the Minnesota State high school tourney. Frank Veldman, 6'4" from Eastview, was named first-team all-conference (http://tchoops.blogspot.com/2011/04/2010-11-south-suburban-all-conference.html) in the South Suburban Conference. The other four players named will all likely play D-I basketball. Veldman and CJ Smith, 6'0" from Burnsville, were both named to the conference's all-defensive team (http://tchoops.blogspot.com/2011/04/2010-11-south-suburban-all-conference.html).
