Some school named Lakehead University in Ontario won? (U of M second, Iowa State third) Saw this on WDAY news tonight (which is brutal by the way ever since they started running stories from WDAZ) WTF?

Was NDSU involved? invited??

No idea. The link says that it was a "steal bridge" competition though :)

The national one is at Texas A&M in May.

Right on. I saw that but since it came out of Grand Forks it really didn't even register on the surprise meter.

Looks like this was the regionals, and NDSU isn't going to advance for maybe the first time ever. Regions our size send the top two, so no repeat for the defending champs. BTW, Lakehead seems to be some of our toughest competition. They've made it to the nationals 6 of the last 8 years, with 5 of those being top-five finishes(pair of 3rds, pair of 5ths & a 4th). Wonder if our bridge got DQed for something.

Knowing our guys they probably went ahead and built a full-size bridge, not being challenged enough by mere replica.
