That photo was taken 1/2 hour before the event started although only around 300 did end up showing up. If it was televised on ESPN like it was in the past, their would have been a bigger crowd. Not sure why that should make a difference for people to turn up though.

Doris Burke the women's ESPN analyst was on Mike and Mike. This year is TOTALLY different in women's basketball. She thinks there might be FIVE teams that have a CHANCE of winning the tournament. She fully expects all of the #1 seeds to make the Final 4 and it shouldn't really be that close. I think she said no team out of the final top 10 poll has ever won it.

Classic case of why this tournament field is too big but it will not change.

She did say that UConn is not the dominant favorite they have been in the past. She also said that the four #1 seeds have beaten each other. She picked Baylor to win it all but said UConn would not be a surprise. (I'd put that in the "stating the obvious" category)
