Congrats to Bismarck Century for winning the ND Class A title.

Very physical game, bodies flying eveywhere.

But that was expected with a couple of NDSU football recruits playing the game of basketball.

Also, Bismarck Century assistant coach and former Bison BB player Luke Moorman was part of the Class A Championship.

Great job Luke!

Congrats to Fargo North on winning the Class A girls title. An unlikely win considering they were 11-12 going into the tournament. They beat Shanley in the title game. Shanley had beaten North 3 times during the season.

6'3" sophomore Kira Larson from North was named to the all tournament team. Her parents are Bison track coaches Don and Desiree Larson.

Well there's a future local star for the women's program. She's quite the high jumper as well, correct?

Based on the broadcast of the game, it sounds like she'll be going to a big-time volleyball school, unfortunately for the NDSU contingent...

Kira's a top prospect on the national level for the class of 2013, and has already had a handful of Big 10 programs come watch her play volleyball in person.

Says alot. High profile Big 10 colleges just don't take off to Fargo in the middle of their collegiate season to watch a sophomore play in a high school game.

Her sister is a very good athlete, but Kira's just on another level. On another level from most any athlete in her grade on a national level.

The amount of high profile Division 1 colleges have only increased since she started her club season this spring, and most certainly will continue to do so throughout the course of high high school career.
