I don't get it? Did a quick search and found the guy is an NDSU student but don't grasp the significance.

Let me guess: it was you?

Dehler is a pitcher for the North Dakota State University baseball team.

WDAY reported that according to the Coach he has been indefinitely suspended from the baseball team.

An NDSU player apparently put his land rover into someone's house. And the good old Fargo Forum is making sure everybody knows he plays at NDSU (sigh)

I can't give the Forum any crap on this one. I mean isn't that their job? It's not like he "just" got a minor either.

Maybe this sheds some light on why Lakes doesn't show up on any Bison baseball rosters--just sayin!!

Sgt. Mike Erbes said the 2009 Land Rover was westbound on 21st Avenue North at about 1:52 a.m. when it approached a “T” intersection and went through the stop sign, skidded across Broadway, went up the driveway on the other side and struck the corner of the house with enough force to break the corner load-bearing beam.

Scouting report on Dehler*:

- slider sometimes goes out of control
- hits the corner with the breaking stuff

*shamelessly stolen from myself on another posting forum ;)

How in the world is a student-athlete driving a 2009 Land Rover? OK, a student-athlete not playing in the SEC or at USC. ;)

Oh, he'll be spending money now ... his attorney will probably be the one with the Land Rover however. :hungry:

from the article

No one was injured in the incident. Dehler was alone in the Land Rover, which is owned by another party and sustained substantial front-end damage, Erbes said.

You don't need an attorney if you accept responsibility and plead guilty. Oh, and a noticed the smack thread on this over on ss.com, and gave you guys this one to grind your teeth on--fair is fair, right??!!
By CAS on ss.com in response to post that it is quiet on BV on this subject:

There is an entire thread on BV on this topic--like you didn't know that. At least he stayed in his vehicle, rather than attempting to walk home in sub-zero temps, and thereby avoided frostbite. Funny how a drunk NDSU baseball player has more intelligence that a "sober", underage, UND hockey player, isn't it?!!!

Also funny that he didn't call some baseball teammates up to let him out of the patrol car... the list could go on and on.

My question is was he transporting any goods from bestbuy in the landrover?

I'm assuming you have never driven through the Langdon HIGH SCHOOL parking lot while school is in session. About half the kids would be embarrassed to drive something that old.

Now you know what my daughter thinks of me when she climbs in to her 1991 Mercury Topaz. I'm surprised that Social Services hasn't paid me a visit to accuse me of child abuse.

From SS.com, this one made me laugh.

"If you look through the forums in the last 18 months there have been a rash of car on home violence."

Too soon?? Sorry...
