funny he wasnt on the preferred walk on list. Or Recruit List.

And once he got to check out the facilities, Cable was ready to commit, signing a national letter of intent to play for the Bison next season. Cable, who will play fullback at the Division I Football Championship Subdivision (formerly D1-A) college, will go to NDSU as a preferred walk-on.

three-time All-Southwest Conference selection, two-time conference Most Valuable Defensive Lineman and all-state honorable mention, Cable had his pick of where and what position to play. Ultimately, Cable turned down an offer to walk on at **Iowa State** to play defensive end.

In the backfield last season, Cable rushed for 809 yards and 10 touchdowns.

"Brennan had a couple offers and was comfortable with North Dakota State, and they got a great facility there," Friends with Tyler Gimmestad (same HS)

Good find! That makes THREE big fullbacks in this class. Cool!

Speaking of recruited walk-ons, I saw some highlights on TV of Brandon Chrest playing basketball the other night. FOUR dunks in a district tourney game. The kid looks like a really good athlete. He just might be the next Cavalier Tornado to make an impact as a Bison.

Exactly westnodak. Granted he's only a preferred, sounds like he chose us over Iowa state , kid is good.
