Anyone have the capabilities to burn a DVD copy of a VHS tape for me. Keeping it for our personal home use, just want to get rid of the VHS player. Only one tape to DVD to burn and only need the one copy for family use. Assuming then it is not illegal. Please PM me if you live in Fargo-Moorhead and can do this for me. I'll bring you the VHS and a DVD. Thanks for any help! I know if anyone can help it's you guys! ;)

No kidding. Next thing we know is he'll be wondering who can transfer an eight-track for him. ;)

Seriously, though. If you were wanting to transfer more tapes and the like in the future, there are video capture devices like this (http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_SPM513417501P?sid=IDx20101019x00001a&ci_src=14110944&ci_sku=SPM212681133) out there. I've used them before and they're pretty simple.

Also doc, Isnt that like getting a record recorded onto a cassette tape?

Should probably go VHS to blu ray theyve only been around for 5 years lol.

I've been thinking about converting our wedding video from VHS to DVD and/or digital file. I finally got around to connecting a VCR to the guest room TV to see if the tape is still viewable. Our 14th anniversary is coming up in April and we haven't watched it in years and years.
