There's at least a couple more high schools in that area with IPF's, notably McKinney South?? I think it is (either south or north), also Carrollton. Massillon, OH also has one, but they're kind of a uniqie situation, since they're basically the Holy Land of HS football in that town.

that kinda makes sense. this schools in Texas when they start in August and their season ends in early November. I know it just snowed in Texas this week but how cold does it get in early November?

I don't think it was built with COLD weather in mind; it gets pretty hot in Dallas in August...
EDIT: Just googled it, someone was quoted as saying it can get up to 140 degrees at times on their outdoor field...

Ah that makes sense. I have a one track mind. The only thing I can think about is how damn cold it has been this winter.

My brother came back from Dallas area and attended a junior high football game at a 8,000 seat facility. My understanting is that some HS football coaches in Texas can command $100,000+ salaries and are not be weighted down with the bother of actually having to teach any classes.

Yessir we do. All 3 schools in my town have indoor facilities. Really in the metroplex it's uncommon not to have one.

Yep, football is BIG business down there. I think it's like that at a lot of places in the south...
Think about it this way tho, it's not different than Moorhead's massive "fieldhouse"(with turf obviously) or a nice hockey arena. I'm sure they use it for multiple things as well.
