Well, I can't eat much more crow over this topic, especially after the MSU game, so I thought I'd just show off my new jersey that I'll be wearing to the games next year:

I wear about 3 of them, the rest are just on hangers in the closet. I've been meaning to get some display cases for a couple of years. I mean, who has a Phil Hansen jersey?

To display my jerseys I use the cheap curtain rods. You use the hooks that the ends fit into and nail them on the wall about 6in apart, then run the rod through the sleeves of the jersey, make sure the curves of the rod are pointing down and then hang the rod on the hooks by the open grooves on the back.

That Herd Mentality guy has one.....can you say, "fat guy in a skinny jersey?"

Now the question is, does 4mcrue sit in section 21?

I wore the Phil jersey tailgating one day and then switched it out for a Bison jersey before the game and there was some guy sitting in 21 with a Phil jersey on...

I'm big boned.

#8 for about the last 20 years or so has been a special number. Whether it is a Special Teams specialist or for someone who has turned into a very special offensive/defensive player. I'm looking forward to who gets that number after DJ graduates to see that tradition continue.

http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y260/4mcrue/DSC00262.jpg All I can say 4mcrue is, Welcome aboard. You can come sit in the front of the bandwagon with the ol' Ball Coach. What I would like to know is, what took you so long to come on board? You are not the first person to underestimate DJ, and I'm sure there are alot of others out there. So, just sit back and enjoy the ride. 2011 is going to be a fun and special year for bison football. ( 2012 NFL Draft????)

That young gun that you are always talk about; his time will come soon enough. I've heard nothing but great things about him from DJ.

Nope, pretty sure I don't need any sleep at all. You are the one who tried to claim DJ was the greatest player ever on the face of the earth before he even played a game for NDSU. D.J. is a good football player who had a good season last year. Let's hope he can have a good 2nd season as a starter. Glad D.J. doesn't walk around with a chip on his shoulder like the ole ball coach does.

You see, I only talk and make claims about what I know, not what I heard on some message board. Dj's living up to the hype and is NDSU's MEAL TICKET to the NC.

Come on now Coach! Some did make comments and others supported DJ. All you are accomplishing now is an 'I told you so' coupled with some potential souring of DJ's stellar reputation.

Having coached myself, I expect more out of a coaching peer. Coaching is about building, not tearing down or causing contraversity. So ... Build! Talk highly of DJ and the choir will follow your tone. Disparage folks on the board and you can join the Screamin Eagles of the world.

DJ certainly deserves better than the reputation you are fostering!

I would say NDSU's meal ticket to the NC is getting consistant play out of the QB position. I like most on this board watched every single game this season, but then again what do we know?

D.J. does not make or break this NDSU football team. He certainly is a nice piece of the puzzle for this team, but only one piece. As D.J. would tell you, that awesome Oline certainly attributed to much of his success that he had this season. You seem to be all about D.J., while most of us are all about the team. D.J. is a really good kid and he cares about the TEAM.

I love the way DJ has developed. He has proved to be a team player and it seems obvious he will do what is asked of him. He has sure turned it up several notches. He is way more physical the last couple years and is damn illusive when he gets to the next level. He can finish runs.
However, I think some of the criticism of DJ's running ability over the last two years are justified. I think some took that personally even though it was accurate. I think some of us unfairly expected him to be at this level when he walked on campus.
