Dakota Air to benefit NDSU Gold Star Marching Band

A portion of ticket sales to the Fargo show will go to benefit the NDSU Gold Star Marching Band. “The NDSU Gold Star Marching Band is thrilled to be associated with“Dakota Air,” Director of Athletic Bands and Percussion Sigurd Johnson said. “We can't wait to be a part of the action both on the air as well as behind the scenes. It will be a blast!”

Very cool for the band. A few of the admin-types within the student administration were worried they wouldn't be getting stipends (which were anywhere from $100 for freshmen to $500+ for seniors), and I know they aren't getting paid for basketball/volleyball anymore. Hope President Bresciani can realize what an asset a well-funded marching program is and can allocate the necessary funds for the future.

Updated it a little. And thanks to an additional $40,000 from the SG this year we did receive stipends.

This show does sound like it should be fun.
