Somewhat fitting but also ironic that their streak started after a lose to Stanford and ended with a lose to Stanford.

Like the old UCLA men's streak of 88 games: started and ended with Notre Dame.

Not nearly the same but I seem to recall and the Skol Up Nort had a Womens streak that fell short of the streak by NDSU, and NDSU was the team that had beaten them prior to the streak, and the loss to NDSU ended the streak short of the number of games NDSU had won. Something like 47 or 48. (edit thanks Tony for the corrected figures)

Point being
UCLA lost to Notre Dame who was also the last team they had lost to
UCONN lost to Stanford who was also the last team they had lost to

smaller scale
UND lost to NDSU who was also the last team they had lost to

Amazing facts of 3 streaks.

Probably was 47 or 48 because NDSU's record win streak for WBB is 49 in a row. NDSU's streak was broken by Minnesota Duluth! UND was the loss before that.

Thank God. Sick of ESPN making such a big deal of it whenever watching TV.
