Last year we were all saying how the whole team needed to step up to turn things around. I'm not sure anybody stepped up more than Freddie Banks. 48 tackles, 6 pass breakups and 7 passes defended this year after only 1 tackle last year.

Anybody have any insight in what happened - my memory is bad. I kind of expect that Freddie was injured last year because he had a good 2008 season. He's going to be hard to replace. Thanks, Freddie.

I don't remember anyone talking about Banks on here in the spring for fall. All of a sudden he was starting and a major contributor. What a great senior season this kid had!

Nicholls State football head coach Charlie Stubbs looks to add more unity to his coaching staff with the additions of three new members.

Stubbs brought in Steve Adams to be his new special teams coordinator and coach the safeties, Freddie Banks to coach the cornerbacks, and Brandon Nowlin to fill the tight ends coaching position. Stubbs promoted former tight ends coach Matt Clark to offensive line coach.

He is finishing the season.

excellent..then he can assist NDSU in winning the title & feel no remorse as he's off to CSU.

PS Freddie was instrumental in development of Marcus Williams & Josh Gatlin when he played...I forgot that

Coach Banks is a stud. I was hoping he'd fly under the radar for one more season...but I'm happy for him. It will be interesting to see who Vigen brings in to replace him. I would be surprised if it wasn't somebody else with NDSU ties.

There's the Bisonville bullsh!t I remember, I have been disappointed, back in 2010 it was a riot to read this forum. I guess winning does change you.

Oh, Banks was great, I agree our next DC will have NDSU ties, We have been pounded by you enough times the last 10 years that we decided to go out and hire coaches that are rooted in your system, so far its been a big improvement.

True. Then again, we could go with Touchdown Tommy from Butte, America. He could probably handle that in his spare time when he isn't scoring touchdowns or making the other team's cheerleaders swoon :)

Yeah. You could see on TV that all those fellas on the Jacks cheer team were really weak-kneed to when he got close to their sideline.

He’s likely gonna have to rebuild his 2021 legacy after losing in Frisco, but still kinda rooting for him to do so. About time Cats had a Natty-type QB. Heck, the last one to win a Natty needed ties to NDSU to do so. TDT doesn’t have that. Plus he’s barely any taller that Lakes.
