Take the roof off and voila - NEW OUTDOOR STADIUM!!!


***I keed.....This really sucks. Maybe this will kick minnesota law makers in the butt and help them figure out how to get a new stadium.

Or, the only other logical idea is to bring them to North Dakota and have them play at the Fargodome!!!!! :D

I love the part where Pam Oliver pops up on the screen and says "We were just allowed into the building". If I'm Pam and they say, "OK, you can go inside and do your story now", I think I would say................No, that's O - F**KING - Kay, I think I'll just stay out here even though it's a hundred below wind chill.:)

Back on track...


Could the Fargodome have hosted this game? I think it should have at least been considered since the dome is squarely in vikings country and is relatively close to MSP. That would have been awesome if it happened!!!

This could go 2 ways

1) this spurs the need for a new stadium even harder

2) Skol L.A. Vikings (yuck)

Their next home game better be at TCF. That could actually be a pretty sweet game.

Sounds like the Vikes might play in TCF next Monday night. That would be pretty sweet, they had already planned on wearing throwback jerseys as well.

that would have been cool as hell if that would have happened. NFL should have let it happen. Season ticket holders could easily have made it up to Fargo and then they could have sold tickets at the gate and donated that money. Instead they make ticket holders fly to Detriolet and then they gave the rest of the tickets away to a fan base that will probably be hostile to the Vikings. I'm sure part of it was that Fox was in Detriolet yesterday for a game so media wise, they didn't have to move any equipment.

I'm sure the NFL wanted a stadium with the ability televise the game with the usual number of calendars and have a crew from NFL films recording the action.

They should just start demolishing the Metrodome now and start planning a new stadium at the same site. If there's a lockout in 2011, that's one less year they would need to play at The Bank.

Twinsfest has been moved to the National Sports Center in Blaine. Smaller event and I heard they might limit tickets.

exactly. they couldve actually made some money off of it during the winter/early spring and it would have helped recruiting for the baseball team.
