Just got back from the game and there isnt replay at the game so no idea what that play looked like. TD or no fumble, still can't figure out why we don't run DJ for 4 straight plays right there. Put it into the hands of someone that handles the ball all the time. Had a blast though...great season.

Agreed, but still tough to swallow. If the offense did anything with the 5 turnovers we win going away. I think if I remember right we had at least 3 drives that started at the 50 or better and we punted 3 times. Correct me if I am wrong

yes he down... I think they probably hesitated to overturn the call as that the ball blended with turf (but you still could tell he was down!!) ..

If they are going to allow them to use that field, they need to use white ball just like did in the NFL in the 50's for night games . We got screwed earlier in the game when ball touched the ground on a pass and it had been an incomplete pass and 4th down. Next play Jones when 65 yards for a touchdown.

I agree overtime CANNOT happen in that situation.

I never thought I'd say it, but the defense on the last drive was the reason we lost.

Homers not only screwed us on the last play of the game but they also messed up on ball that bounced up off the turf early on. It should have been 4th down, instead they got first down and then on the next play they got that 2nd long touchdown. Ball placement after every play seemed little wacky to me too but I know I see through green and yellow glasses.

All they had to do was prevent EWU from going the length of the field in 35 seconds to score. Great season anyway! Tough to end it like this. It seems like wherever we play, the close calls usually go against us. Almost seems like they're prejudiced against us.:smh:

No doubt it shouldn't have come to that but if the fucking NCAA is gonna have replay put someone in the booth that can see, Jensen hit the ground and rthe ball came out it was total shit much like the catch in the first QTR that was a lead to the TD replay was crap, but we should have walked away

From a Sioux fan, I saw it exactly how you did. You all still should have won the game anyway, but those officials hosed you. I think EWU is is trouble next week if the RB can't play, he's amazing and almost the entire offence.

You know if your team wins by 40 and beats the hell out of the bison, yeah, maybe throw up a post like that, but the fact, and it is a fact, you barely got out of there with your ass, there is nothing to be cocky about. Yeah, and look what it took to take down the bison, a high powered rifle.

Lesson learned: NDSU's offensive play calling was pretty good except in short yardage. Guys need to know when a first down is more important than lookinng for a big play.

Also, put the QB sneak into the playbook and shitcan pretty much everything else in the "we-have-three-downs-to-get-two-yards" playbook.

The Bison got the crappy calls a lot of the game. In the end, we lost. But you know what? We were the LAST team to be picked for the playoffs and we took the #5 seed into OT in the quarter finals. Honestly, I am WAY more proud to be a Bison tonight than I would be proud to be an Eagle. Great job boys, GO BISON!

As soon as EWUs punter tripped over the defender and a penalty is called I knew we were going to have a rough go.

Two of the most questionable unsportsmanlike conduct penalties I have ever seen...

EWU BLATANTLY not following any rules the host institution has to abide by. I wanted to go up into the booth and drag your f'n announcer out by his uvula. Artificial noise makers, piped in sound, baiting the crowd, etc. Play by the rules.

Throwing snowballs at our team at the end of the game in the endzone...classless.

What a D2 town, university and field. Maybe you should put $40-50 into your scoreboard next year.

Villanova is a big and physical team and, with any luck and fair officiating at all, will take EWU to the cleaners. The Bozeman crowd was at least respectful and made an effort to be friendly and have some comradery. From the sound of it, the EWU fans were just nasty. I hope Villanova POUNDS EWU so hard into the turf that they have to hire a backhoe to get them out. NOVA ALL THE WAY!!!!!

Eastern Washington’s No. 1-ranked football team will be without the services of all-American running back Taiwan Jones for Friday night’s FCS semifinal playoff matchup against visiting Villanova.

According to EWU’s head athletic trainer Brian Norton, x-rays taken on Sunday showed that Jones suffered a fracture to the base of the 5th metatarsal in his left foot in Saturday’s 38-31 overtime playoff win over North Dakota State. According to Norton, Jones will consult with an orthopedic specialist on Monday to see if surgery is necessary.

Norton added therer might be a slight chance Jones could return for the FCS championship on Jan. 7 — provided surgery is performed, and the Eagles make it past Villanova at Roos Field on Friday night.

Had no offense to the people other than that they don't know how to service our fans in the bars in restaurants. Even after Road warned them on Friay night the Eagles Nest didn't have enough staff on hand. People just don't realize how we travel. The announcer was true DIII, as was the field, turned pink with the snow. They were missing the lions and tigers, as that field was a circus. We are truly spoiled as to what we have back in Fargo. We didn't get one break during the game. A couple of better plays at the 34 at the end of the game and we wouldn't have to worry about the GD officials and would have taken care of business without all the BS. Couldn't have been more proud of Coach Bohl, his staff and players on the growth of the program this year. Get over all that didn't get done and look forward to what could be and unbelievable year next year, starting with the second victory in a row against the Gophers. GO BISON
