RPI really doesn't mean anything for another 1 1/2 months. Still great to see the Bison this high though.

Too early in the season for it to really mean anything

I get that its too early to mean anything, but how are we that high in the firstplace. Wouldnt Oakland have a higher RPI just based on who theyve played?

UNDies wont help us out at 301, but if the gophers stay strong all year that would be a plus for us.

Its pretty cool that were at #49, but that's not going to last very long when everyone gets into conference play. Lets just hope Minnesota can stay in the top 25 and maybe Oregon can play a little better and stay in the middle of the Pac-10 this year to help us out.

According to the sagarin index

56 Oakland-Mich.
82 North Dakota State
87 South Dakota State
109 Oral Roberts
156 IPFW
196 IUPUI
253 UMKC
258 Southern Utah
291 Western Illinois
341 Centenary

The summit is the 16th overall conference early in the year as opposed to the mid 20's the last few years. I would expect this to shift down a bit once the conference season starts.

Oregon and Santa Barbara are 115-120 and denver is 271. North Dakota is 326.
