Based on the fact that I'm still stranded in Denver, the charter is definitely worth the extra $100.

Screw United.

How was the charter experience the first time for any that went that route? Am I allowed to tailgate on the plane?

No doubt. If you are concerned about money the day trip is cheaper. Unless can you pack baloney sandwiches and a keg on a commercial flight?

If I only didn't spend all my money in Bozeman....I'll be watching on TV, hopefully you guys can pack the charter.

From what I understand, the charter flight still has the same rules and security as a commercial flight. So you'll have to buy your liquor on board and not be able to check any food either.

Actually i was implying the expense of just living there for a weekend instead of in and out but still good to know. ;)

I just sent in all my info. If the charter is cancelled I will still be going via priceline.

I don't understand this. I could definately have tons of fun for the $100 I'd save on a priceline hotel/flight package. That would be two cases of beer and you'd still have $60 for food for two days. I am pretty sure they sell beer and sammiches at stores in Washington :p

I thought it was a private charter, so there'd be no frequent flyer miles from the major airlines associated.

I don't have flyer miles with just a major airline :D

I thought someone said last week it was like 50,000 miles or something, I could be wrong?

If you can come back Sunday, you can use 25,000 Delta miles (+$10 in taxes/fees) to fly FAR-GEG (Spokane). Leave FAR at 1730 Friday. Saturday return is in the "high" category, so that's a no-go. (42,500) Saturday outbound won't work because the only 25,000 tickets don't get to GEG until 1230.

Since Delta's booking engine is retarded (there's a reason we call it Delta.dumb), I'm going to include the itinerary that priced out for 25k in case someone wants help finding it:

DL 4635 - FAR to SLC, 1733 Friday
DL 1742 - SLC to GEG, 2000 Friday

AS 2235 - GEG to SEA, 1130 Sunday
DL 2614 - SEA to MSP, 1500 Sunday
DL 4455 - MSP to FAR, 2200 Sunday

(NB: This is for travel on regular Delta flights. You obviously can't use miles on the charter. I don't fly UA, so if you've got their miles, I have no clue. I do know DL tends to be better with last-minute redemptions. Seriously, if you have 25k SkyMiles to burn, this would be a heckuva way to spend them! Find a cheap hotel for Friday and Saturday and cheer on the Bison!)

I found the same thing. If you don't want to fly through Seattle or Portland for a three leg return, then it is 32K + $10.

I posted the itinerary, then I realized that my FF number and everything was at the top so I deleted it.

Tatanka would have stolen all my miles!

As in you've got points on a CapitalOne credit card? Points redeem differently than miles you've earned with Delta. My US Bank credit card does 20k points for a flight up to $400, 30k points for $400.01 to $600, 40k points for $600.01 to $800. I think the best way to see how things price out that way is to log into your credit card rewards site and search for the trip. Unfortunately, I'm only seeing K fares for purchase on Delta right now, which are quite expensive.
