Did you get travel plans made?
Based on a search on Kayak, it looks like your cheapest flight is out of Dickinson into Spokane, but it is still 8 bills.
I use www.kayak.com because it compares all the travel sites and is pretty easy to use.
He could catch Amtrak up in Williston (I think). It only takes 12 hours from there.

If he flies out of Bismarck, I'm seeing prices in the 450-500 range. I figured friday departure, sunday return. Hotels/auto rental not included.

Dude, I think it is around 12 or 13 hours to drive from Dix to Spokane, right? That is like a lot of people had to Bozo last week, including me. I drove to Bozo all in one day, then got out of town a few hours early on Saturday night for the return on Sunday, starting in Missoula. Actually wasn't all that bad. Most of my Montana driving was in the 80-90 mph range.
There are a few stretches of road that can be a little difficult - 1.) between Bozeman and Butte on the west end of that stretch - 2.) a stretch for about 50 miles straddling the Idaho/Mont border and 3.) that stretch of flat road between the Idaho border and Spokane can be an icy mofo for some reason. Other than that, it is just a long road trip.
Hope to see you again.

Sweet! I might be interested in these boots. I wear a 9.5-10.
I have a few questions for you. Do the boots have NDSU logos? When I step in snow or mud will the bootprint spell out NDSU?
Let me know, I'm interested in official bison boots!
