Right away when I found out we'd be playing EWU I felt pretty good about our chances knowing that MSU had beaten them like 35-7.

After looking into it more, that was very early in the season, just like our loss to UNI. We know just how much a team can change over the course of a season.

After reading a bit more and knowing that they ended the regular season ranked #1, I'm not feeling quite as confident. I definately like our chances and I'm sure coach Bohl will have the guys ready for THIS game not the next.

I'm not quite sure where I'm going with this. It just feels different this week than last week.

I think it's just that my expectations have drastically changed and I'm being a bit guarded against a let down.

I haven't looked up which poll, but it is all over their board.

blah blah blah we're ranked #1 and got the #5 seed blah blah blah.

Plus, that MSU blow out was the 2nd or 3rd game of the year. Totally different if it happened in the last few weeks.

I wouldn't say that. If our D plays as good as they did Saturday, we have a chance against anyone. But that's a big if.

I like our chances! The Big Sky plays more of a wide open, passing game. So did, South Dakota, RMU, and MSU, and we imposed our physicality on them. EWU was pretty balanced offensively last week though, so this week may be a bigger challange for our defense! The only reason EWU got the number #1 ranking is because the CAA teams beat each other up much like the teams in the MVFC. Play good D, pass enough to keep them off balance, pound them and we could wear them out too!
