Guess how much time was on the clock when the Bison last led 21-17?

Ok, I guess that was too easy. Yep, it was about 5:30 left. 3 TDs went up pretty quickly. Of course there was a turnover and a 4th down failure in there.

I had been saying for a couple days that when its cold and you get "popped in the chin" it is WAY easier to give up. Aka, once you get down, it's a lot easier to throw in the towel because all of a sudden the weather starts to effect you.

It's also a lot warmer up in the stands after your team scores a touchdown.

Somebody talked to refs at breakfast sunday and they said it was just a matter of time before the BISON TOOK THE GAME IN HAND because of what they were seeing in the trenches.

I saw this happening mid-way through the second quarter and was very happy to go into the half 7-7--it was just a matter of time. The D line started a little earlier than the O line, but you could just see it coming. You could also tell that that MSU players knew this when we went up on them--they were sucking air and wanting the game over--they got what they wished for.

Love seeing Cornick almost beat DJ to the end zone on one of his longer TD runs!

I hope my buddy, who reads this board, doesn't mind my sharing the text he sent me from the game. He and his wife got tickets in the thick of MSU fans right behind the Bison offensive line area.

He sent it with 5:51 left on the clock. He said Fuchs looked at his offensive linemen in the eye and said "you are not going to lose this game, now go out there and kick somebodys ass". The rest is history.

Southland refs are the best.

MVFC refs throw too many flags.

Big sky refs dont throw enough flags.

(My ref experience so far, big 12 refs were meh)

If you watch again, turn up the sound, you can almost hear Don Meredith's voice signing what he always sang at the end of a blow out in the early days of Monday Night Football.

Not sure if you knew this but Don Meridith passed away this afternoon. Very appropriate.

The thing I realized during the game is the Bison scored 3 TDs on 4 offensive plays. This got out of hand quickly.

I said that while we were watching it all unfold....the last couple TD's that we scored, their defense had thrown in the towel! Keep chipping away at that rock & eventually it will crack! With 6 minutes left, they were almost powerless to stop us.....it was quite a site to behold! :D

Yes, I did know, it was my little tribute after hearing that he was gone and remembering this thread. I loved listening to Don.

I'm late to the party here. Had computer trouble. Those last 3 TD's just showed the Bison at their best. Wear the other guys down and then go for the kill.
