Lotta SDSU kids on there. All seniors. Marcus Williams was on there honorable mention for the Herd. Isn't he a frosh? All I know is we should be taking them to the woodshed next year with all this young talent with another year under their belt. I see Colton Heagle being one of the top talents on defense in the entire conference in a few years. :hungry:

I am excited to read what Terry has to say in the Argus tomorrow about how great these first team SDSU'ers are. Must have been coaching since they clearly had the talent!!!!
What is worse....their stud tailback or their stud coach throwing members of the team under the bus? I love the meltdown that is Brookings, SD.

We haven't seen anything, yet. The meltdown will hit the next level if their undefeated basketball team loses for the ninth consecutive time to the Bison Saturday night at Frost.

Go Bison!!

Interesting.....

UNI and SDSU each had 5 1st teamers with WIU and ISU-blue each having 4 each...............Bison had 2 1st teamers....with 1 being our punter.

1 player on offense and defense combined makes the 1st team......:smh: :smh:

1st and 2nd combined:

UNI - 8
SDSU - 8
ISUblue - 7

Interesting....a team that finishes below .500 (SDSU) has 2 1/2 X more players on the 1st team compared to the Bison.....

Oh gee....I forgot.......Coach Stig recruits the "right" kind of player......silly me, now I know why they have more.....boy, I'm a dumba**.....:D

Congrats to the Bison players that made it....Great Job!!!

Evans was 2nd team last year and Richard was HM....

Herd
11-30-2010, 01:55 AM
IMO Jemison would have been deserving of HM status. He's been there all year for the Bison while other have missed time and been in and out. Evans is also very deserving for the herd. Gatlin & Arndt have also been very solid.

99Bison
11-30-2010, 02:18 AM
Yea seems that Jemison, Arndt, Eaves probably others definitely deserving.

No Austin Richard, Michael Arndt, Daniel Eaves or Preston Evans is a flat out joke...

For some reason we don't seem to get the respect we deserve from the MVC.
Some of it could have been that the oline took all the heat for the offense's
performance. Michael Ardnt was a part of a inexperienced line so even though he had a great year, it went unappreciated. The left tackle only gets notariety when he doesn't do his job. He got SCREWED:banghead:

BS list. We have the best LB's core in the conference with Wilson too. Just goes to show the jealousy of the coaches in the league. Happened all the time in the NCC.

Who cares about these awards. This is the definition of a team and winning playoff games is what matters!:)

Gully
11-30-2010, 01:18 PM
Get used to it......it will probably always be this way. It was the same thing in the NCC year after year. This awards don't mean as much as making the playoffs and winning in the playoffs. Hopefully the guys can pull an upset and extend the season at least one more week.

Players derserving that totally got screwed!!

S-Eaves
LB-Evans
LB-Jemison
LB-Anderson

OL-Richard
OL-Arndt

The o-line doesn't get any credit because of the year we had. But the D?

I don't get that?

In my opinion Eaves has had as good as year for a free safety as we have had in a long time. The LB's have all had great years.

Oh well, good thing is were still playing and that is all that matters:nod:

There is always significant politics involved in All-Conference or even All-American selections. So, like someone said, get used to it. Hell, UND used to get as many or more than us in the NCC when we went on our NC runs--food for thought.
