Anyone see the configuration at Chicago's Wrigley field for this Saturday's Illinois vs. Northwestern game?
At one end of the field on the left hand side of the back line of the endzone comes right up to the outfield wall. That's right......concrete padded only by the ivy!

St. Cloud Tech HS has a field that is surrounded by wall as well. I remember the last time I played there, there was a garbage can IN the corner of the end zone...yes IN the end zone. There was no room for it elsewhere. Pretty cool atmosphere tho.

Garbage can in the end zone...big deal.

Try playing around all the bin pilers and potato piles in the Alerus every year:)

That's nothing. Once in high school, we had to avoid the active volcano at midfield and the migrating wildebeast herd in one endzone. That's when men were men, and women were damn glad for it!!

Here's a picture of the problem area. Notice the ivy designed/colored padding over the actual ivy. Still wouldn't wanna run into it at full speed.

So if Alphonso Soriano leaps and catches something going through those uprights, how many points don't go on the scoreboard?

Wait. Is this the pre-Cubs Soriano or the one that collects salary from the small bears?

hold on, the cubs still play baseball there in the summer? i thought it was just a place for people to congregate and drink cheap beer while clowns ran around on the field.

Why are they playing there again?
I know someone is playing football at Yankees stadium too.

Most of you probably already know this but the Chicago Bears played their home games at Wrigley for 49 years. (1921-1970)

Yeah, but if you look at the configuration, the field went north-south back then...However, they set-up the field to be east-west for today's game.

That's whack!

They said on gameday that back then they had movable seats in left field...not any more
