not to be nit picky but wouldn't D-POTY mean Defensive Player of The Year?

Exactly what I was thinking. A little to early to start deciding D-POTY.

HAHA, that was my first thought as well. I didn't know the season was over.

Boyer, a 6-foot-4 1/2-inch, 245-pound junior from Hurley, S.D., was part of a North Dakota State defense that forced four turnovers in the Bison 20-6 win over Southern Illinois on Nov. 6. He had five tackles, three QB hurries, a pair of forced fumbles, two sacks and a pass breakup in the game.

For the season, Boyer leads the Bison with nine tackles for loss, eight sacks, three forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries. He is tied for 25th nationally in sacks, and leads the Valley in forced fumbles and fumble recoveries.

Not bad for a guy that was supposedly not "athletic enough" to play DE for Stig's crew in Brookings.

Hopefully he makes it back to back weeks with a huge game against the Bunnies.
