2011 G. Southern game??

Read on another board that G. Southern has bought out their game with us next year and replaced it with a home game with Presbyterian.....anybody else hear about this?? Hopefully its not true, I was looking forward to the golden eagles coming to Fargo.

If true, which I have no idea if it is or not, it doesn't surprise at all. First replace a road game with a home game that they normally have great attendance for. And secondly it's a race to 8 wins in FCS football. Doesn't matter how you get there, because if you are in a power conference, and they are, once you get to 8 you are basically assured a playoff spot.

It's unlikely, but I think it'd be cool if you guys got Elon to visit, probably wouldn't be a "sure win" but it'd be winnable.

There down a little this year, but they've typically been pretty good the last few years, and outside of Ga. Southern, the xdsu's don't have much on the field experience with the teams in the Southern Conference.

My vote is for Poly-SLO or UC-Davis. We've had a good relationship with these schools in the past and one of these schools returning to the dome should generate a lot of excitement.

However, I'm still in the 2006-2007 mindset when people actually went to games.

Well folks, that's why the buyout clause is in there. If they want to pay the cash, they don't have to show up. Hopefully Gene learned from the Montana deal that you want a BIG number in there. So, we pocket the money and use the guarantee money intended for GS to get someone else to come.

If you don't want someone to be able to buy out the game, don't put in a buyout clause, or make it really high. It would have been a nice game, but it's not the end of the world. Just hope Gene doesn't wait until May to find someone.

If you get stumped by a team 34-14 at home, the last thing you want to do is take them on their place. Don't you know that UND lives by the rule of three? If speaking from UNDs perspective, multiply by 3. If speaking from NDSUs perspective, divide by 3.
