That is some pretty amazing stat work! Here's the summarizing sentence:


Since 2001, the Bison are 26-2 in game when they score a defensive/special teams touchdown and 40-37 when they fail to do so. They are 66-39 overall in that span.

I wonder if that CAS guy thinks defensive TDs are important???.......oh well......he probably doesn't understand defense to well.....;) :D ;)

Seriously folks......that really opens my eyes to the absolute importance of a dominating defense............especially if the Herd is to have a chance at going all the way.

That's pretty incredible that, as a team, we've had D/ST TD's in 28 games....that sounds pretty impressive to me, though I don't know the figures of other schools so maybe that's not all that significant compared to other programs. Still, very good stat work and a very interesting read.
