Matt Anderson has been nominated for Discover Orange Bowl Courage Award. The requirements for a nomination include "displaying courage on or off the field, including overcoming an injury or physical handicap, preventing a disaster or living through hardship." Not an award you want to get nominated for necessarily - I mean, personally, I'd rather get nominated for an award where the qualifications are being healthy, winning the lottery, and stuff like that. Anyway, I think there is only one nominee per week so it's more than just having your name put forward.
Matt has not had the smoothest time at NDSU but has shown amazing perserverance.
Hopefully he recovers from his current injury and finishes his time at NDSU on a high note. He certainly deserves as much.
