Not sure if this is the player you are referring to, but Tony reported this on Sept. 10th concerning Nic Demski, a RB from Winnipeg.

UND used to recruit Canada fairly heavily, and got a few decent players there. Mike Juhasz (sp) is the name that comes to mind right away. Obviously you're not going to get half a recruiting class out of Canada but there are some decent players up there.

It's becoming more popular. You never used to hear about it because when you got a Canadian it's was only getting a player that was worth about 66% of an American one. But nowadays, a Canadian player is on par and sometimes worth more than the American.

There are pretty good candian players. They play in a semi-pro league and come right down to play. Don't know how it works somebody can clue us in.
When they come to play, they are all ready men. 25years old plus.

Reading this struck up an old memory. When my brother played at U of Mary in the late 80's-early 90's, I think it was Minot State or DSU that had a pipeline of Canadian "men" playing O-line against all these 19-22 year olds. Quite a difference in size, plus they had old-man balls. :o

Ok According to my idiot brother inlaw from Canada, their is a league called Junior. After high school they go there till they are 21 or so. Anyways then they can go any where they want. So Canadian university football is not 18-23 its more like 23-30. Depending if they play or not.

So this Nick kid is in high school, so he still has 4 years before we see him in the U.S. assuming he can qualify. Anyways I am sure their is like 50 kids like him in the twin cities.
