Against ranked OOC FCS teams, the conference is 1-2, with NDSU notching the only win.

Against FBS teams, the conference is 1-8, withe NDSU notching the only win.

Outside of our KU and USD games, the only D1 non conference wins by MVFC teams are against these high quality opponents...

Eastern Kentucky
Butler
Central Connecticut State
Valpo
Sam Houston State

Ugh.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and saying that with these poor OOC records, the only team that could make the playoffs without winning the MVFC title is NDSU. WIU possibly could as well, but I don't see anyone else with a shot of making the playoffs without winning the conference.

Hando thanks for doing this. It shows exactly what I thought that the conference has no quality wins so far except for us. Because of this I think there is about .01% that 3 conference teams get in the playoffs. I think there's still a shot at getting 2, but those two are going to have to start running the conference for that to happen. No doubt about it though that 7-4 in our conference is not going to be enough. 8-3 is definitely questionable.

I think there is little to no chance of 2 MVFC teams getting in:hide:

If we finish 8-3 and only 1 team out of UNI, WIU, and SIU wins out, there will be two MVFC teams in the playoffs. I think there will be two MVFC teams in regardless, just because of the prestige of the conference.

Weber State got in last year with 4 losses and their only non-conference win was against a 4 win Cal Poly team. They did lose to Colorado State and Wyoming by a score or less, but we beat a BCS team.

9-2: 100% guaranteed we are in
8-3: 99.9% we are in
7-4: 33.3% we are in

I agree with this statement. I think 7-4 there is a chance were in. 8-3 its almost a gurantee and 9-2 is for sure.

UNC

ISU

Lost to Utah State
still has to play Georgia

They have 7 non-DI wins, 4 FCS wins(1 over non-scholly Drake), and no wins vs the FBS. All of their non-conference wins will be vs the Great West or Pioneer League.

The MVFC has 7 FCS wins(1 over non-scholly Butler), 1 FBS win and 4 non-DI wins. The MVFC has non-conference wins vs the Big 12, OVC, SLC, Pioneer, NEC, MEAC and Great West.

I looked at the SLC and it isn't like that conference has a bevy of good non-conferences win either. Hell the OVC, shockingly, might have the best non-conference resume of western FCS conferences.

Great point Student! I'd love to see how the Big Sky stacked up in OOC games last year when they sent 3 teams to the playoffs.

Because if Montana doesn't make the playoffs FCS has to morgage the house to pay for the playoffs.
