Where we are ranked now and regardless of whether we are the top ranked MVFC team right now means absolutely nothing! We have played one MVFC team and were badly beaten (even tho score didn't reflect that). Let's see where we are at after the next 3-4 games--that's when rankings and conference standings will start to matter. Waste of computer space to even have a thread on the subject. Just post the rankings 4 now!

Not when we're ranked the top team in the Valley! :D But do the polls have any bearing on postseason seedings or at large at all? Damn it feels good to be able to type that!

Exactly, which is why we only need to be concerned with the GPI.

What exactly has Villanova done though to lose their top spot?? They lost to Temple (I believe) by less than a TD and should have probably won. That's the same Temple who was leading Penn St late in the 3rd on Sat. The other three games I believe they have won pretty handily. Plus considering they are defending champs, I think they've got a right to that top spot.

Best thing though is that Villanova and James Madison will decide it on the field.

At 2-2, are the Griz getting a lifetime achievement free pass at #11? I guess the losses aren't bad, but 11?

One of those wins is D2 which makes it even more crazy.

Which resume is more impressive?

UNI beat a top 15 team (NDSU), lost to a top 5 in SFA, and lost to a FBS Iowa St.

Montana lost to two top 20 teams in EWU and Poly, beat Sac St, and beat a D2.

I can't think of one reason to have the griz higher. UNI won one of their ranked games, UM didn't. D2's dont count for anything.

Elon and SIU? What have they done this year? It's far enough into the season to start ranking teams on THIS season on not last years.

It's about f...in' time. This is where we belong...always. It's a little hard to buy into this until we do some real damage in the conference...but we certainly look capable of it. Morgan St. was the perfect first game for Brock Jensen. South Dakota was a good test. And now it's time to slam it.

I agree 100% went from Morgan St. to USD and he survived the tests. I am VERY optimistic now, also nice to see Mohler still pumping it up with the team and not upset.

I'd say he did a bit more than "survived." He overcame. You don't need to throw for 300 to dominate a game.
